• Overview of the workshop format / agenda and introduction of presenters

b) Presentation by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) regarding the General Aviation Air Quality Study Conducted at Santa Monica and Van Nuys Airports by Dr. Philip Fine, Atmospheric Measurements Manager, SCAQMD

c) Question and Answer Session Moderated by Bob Trimborn

• The public is invited to participate in a question and answer session with Dr. Fine. Questions must be related to the information and topics presented and/or discussed during the SCAQMD presentation. Persons may either submit up to three written questions to staff or request to speak. Persons choosing to discuss the issues will be limited to 5 minutes.

e) Aviation Air Quality Overview by Dr. Rod Merl, Airport Staff

• Overview of Aviation Air Quality and the Regulatory Environment Affecting Aviation & Airports Review of the complex regulatory and jurisdiction environment affecting airport operations and basic Air Quality terminology and issues.

• Review of Environmental Initiatives, Programs Currently Underway at Santa Monica Airport.

• Report from the University of California, Berkeley Aviation Air Quality Symposium

• Los Angeles International Airport Apportionment Air Quality Study Update
