The Airport Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the Municipal Airport
and to aviation matters generally to the extent that they affect the City.
Meeting Dates/Times
The Santa Monica Airport Commission meets the 4th Monday of each Month, 7:30PM City Hall Council Chambers 1685 Main Street Santa Monica, CA 90401, except in August & December when the Commission is in recess.
The Commission shall have power and be required to:
(a) Act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the
Municipal Airport and to aviation matters generally to the extent that they affect the City;
(b) Approve or disapprove the appointment of a Municipal Airport Director by the City Manager, as and when the City Council provides for the filling of such position; and
(c) Consider and recommend City Council rules and regulations for the management and operation of the Municipal Airport.
