Events
The Santa Monica Airport is an excellent choice for the site of
your next event. There are several master leasehold sites on
the airport that have facility space for events.
All events at the Airport must have an approved Airport Event Permit and permit
fee.
You may download an Event Permit Application, but the Master Leaseholder
must submit the application at least two full weeks before the activity.

Filming
All filming on the airport for commercial purposes, including still
photography, requires a film permit and permit
fee. Filming on the airport may be done
through two methods, either on property owned and managed by the airport
or on property leased by a Master Leaseholder.
Applications for filming on non-Master Leasehold areas of the airport
will be submitted through the Property Management section of the Santa
Monica Airport. Applications for filming on Master Leasehold property
can only be accepted if submitted by the Master Leaseholder.
Applications for filming must be submitted at least three full working
days before the activity and are subject to police and fire department
approval and conditions
Space for Lease
There are a number of Major Leaseholders on the Airport who have Office
& Hangar Space available for lease. Most of these businesses
are listed on the Airport Business section of this website. The
City of Santa Monica may also have Available Lease Space.
This section of the City Web is updated as space becomes available.
