To visit Santa Monica State Beach north of Wilshire Boulevard, take the westbound Interstate 10 freeway through the McClure Tunnel onto Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1). Watch for blue signs identifying the eight parking lots on the beach side of the highway.

All of these lots are open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the summer and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter. May through September, the parking rate is $7 on weekends and holidays, and $6 on weekdays, and in April and October, the rate is just $5 on weekdays. November through March, parking is $5 every day. Please note that, due to construction on the new Annenberg Community Beach House, parking in Lot 10 North is very limited.
