Lifeguard Course Fall 2010
Students will learn Lifeguard Rescue Skills, First Aid, and CPR.
Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive
American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguard Training,
CPR for the Professional Rescuer,
AED Essentials,
Oxygen Administration,
and Title 22.

Guard Start Course Fall 2010
This class is designed to teach
students basic rescue skills, first aid, CPR, and
water safety. Upon completion students will have
certifications in Community CPR, Community First
Aid, and Basic Water Rescue.

Prevent Recreational Water Illnesses
Recreational water illnesses (RWI's)
are illnesses that are spread by swallowing,
breathing, or having contact with contaminated water
from swimming pools, spas, lakes, rivers, or oceans.

or instruction at the Santa Monica Swim Center must
obtain a permit. Private instruction (one-on-one) is
not permissible. Permit guidelines and applications
can be obtained

Monica Swim Center.
