NEW Bicycle Racks
In 2011-2012 hundreds of bike racks were installed
downtown, on
Main Street and other commercial
corridors, and at various locations where
they were requested
or where the existing racks were
heavily used. More racks will be
installed citywide, including the City's
Parks and other popular destinations.
This effort implements the City's Bike
Action Plan and makes Santa Monica more
bike-friendly!
To request a rack at your
favorite destination, please visit
www.smgov.net/go and click “submit a
request” at the bottom of the page.
Biking: More
than Just a Great Workout
Biking is an excellent way to explore
the world around you. As an alternative to
driving, biking also helps reduce air pollution
and traffic congestion.
