Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Disabilities Commission will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 4th Street, Santa Monica, for the purpose of conducting the following business:

 

1.            Call to Order

 

2.            Pledge of Allegiance

 

3.            Roll Call

 

4.            Approval of minutes of August 1, 2005 meeting

 

5.            Announcements and Correspondence

 

6.            Public input: The Commission will hear from the public on topics of interest to the Commission that are not on this agenda.  Each speaker is limited to two (2) minutes.

 

7.            Old Business: Discussion of and possible (further) action on:

A.           Report from Disabilities Awareness Month subcommittee

 

8.            New Business: Discussion of and possible action on:

A.           Presentation from staff on involvement opportunities in the planned renovation of the property at 415 Pacific Coast Hwy

B.           Review of FY 04-05

C.          Goal and priority setting for FY 05-06

D.          Preliminary workplan for FY 05-06

E.           Budget for FY 05-06

F.           Commission’s role in making recommendations to the City Council on the FY 06-07 City budget

G.          Future agenda items

 

9.            Adjournment

 

The Disabilities Commission welcomes input from the public on all topics. Each person may speak once on each agenda item and is limited to 2 (two) minutes on each item.
