On this third weekend in January, Santa Monica's cultural scene continues its build to a spectacular crescendo.  We've got a few old friends back in town, Photo LA at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, local artist Daniel Alonzo goes back to high school and Pericles returns to the Miles Playhouse as do the Los Angeles Chamber Players.  There are also a few new faces in town with two new plays opening in local theatres and some splendid water colors at the Emeritus College Gallery.  So, let's all get out there this weekend and have a great time!

And that wraps it up for this week.  Next weekend, we've got the L.A. Art Show and ArtLA in town and we can all take a look at some truly spectacular works from around the globe.  Though, why they don't call themselves the Santa Monica Art Show and Art Santa Monica, I'll never know.  I should probably insert a smiley face or an LOL here since undoubtedly someone is not going to realize that was a joke.  But even so, they should change their names, don't you think?

Be sure to check out the Palette on line at http://www.smgov.net/ccs/palette/ and send your friends - we want everyone to know how sweet it is in Santa Monica!
