Bringing Arts and Culture to Life in Santa Monica
March 15, 2007
|
|
It's
A Great Day for the Irish! Green beer and four leaf clovers abound but here
in Santa Monica it's
not all leprechauns, four-leaf clovers and shillelaghs. This Saint
Patrick's Day has hints of Mexico,
Argentina, and South Africa, along with nods to the
Dark Ages, contemporary Santa Monica
beach life and a tip of the old bowler to that infamous Cat in the
Hat. Just remember to wear that little bit of green unless, of course,
you're hoping to get pinched!

Long
before Stephen Schwartz
turned his eye to Wicked’s
witches of Oz, he set his sights on Charlemagne’s
oft forgotten son, Pippin.
It’s a musical romp that Spreads
a Little Sunshine through the Dark Ages as the young prince of
the Holy Roman Empire strives to be Extraordinary,
achieve Glory,
learns to appreciate the Simple
Joys, discovers that War
is A Science, and searches for his Corner in the Sky under the tutelage of his
ever-helpful - yet mysteriously malevolent - guide.
