Bringing Arts and Culture to Life in Santa Monica                                   March 29, 2007

There's nothing like spring in Santa Monica to get you out of the house and into some art.  If you're still nesting and not quite ready to leave home yet, you'll find comfort and security at the Arena 1 Gallery where some of LA's most innovative artists explore the issues of home in their work.  Or perhaps the swashbuckling heroes and endangered damsels of The Scarlet Pimpernel will get you going.  Or if your tastes leans to the classical, Cantori Domino presents an evening of stirring music by Bach to roust you from your winter slumber.  And if you just need a stroll in the bright spring sunshine to help you escape this winter's hibernation, check out some of the work at Bergamot Station - there's art galore to be found in the complex's multitude of galleries.

Sir Percy and Lady Marguerite Blakeney’s escapades during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror are brought to life in this action packed musical adaptation of Baroness Emmuska Orczy’s novel.  It’s a story of adventure and romance with a dashing hero, his beautiful actress wife, his secret identity as an effete fop, a fanatical revolutionary soldier, plots and counterplots, daring escapes and bold rescues.  And lots of music!
