Bringing Arts and Culture to Life in Santa Monica

August 30, 2007

Even Santa Monica's endless summer must eventually give way to fall and now that day arrives.  Summer is over.  Here in Santa Monica our season was filled with Jazz on the Lawn in front of City Hall and the Twilight Dance Series on Santa Monica Pier.  We’ve had Shakespeare in the Park and at the Miles Playhouse and Shakespeare on the run with all 37 plays (abridged) at the Ruskin .  There was at least one brilliant Rhinoceros roaming the Promenade and a family filled Fourth of July Parade that will do down in history. There were chilling murders meticulously planned and executed at the Aero,  zydeco and children’s concerts at McCabe's, walking tours of downtown Santa Monica and so many other creative activities that took place this summer - far more than I could ever list here.  I hope you had a good one – I know I did!

So don those whites one last time before summer ends and have a great weekend!

Famed French Detective Peugeot is perhaps most known for her uncanny ability to not only put her foot in her plate, but to wiggle her toes at the same time.  But is she truly a klutz á la française or is there brilliance hiding behind her bumbling façade?  She will reveal it all when she ferrets out the criminal culprit amongst the finalists of the National Devil’s-Food-Cake-Mix Devil’s Island Treasure Hunt. The entire audience joins in on the hunt and a new criminal is discovered at each performance!
