Shotgun House

Relocation, Rehabilitation & Operation

This single-story bungalow (approx 500 sq ft) received City Landmark Designation in 1998. After considering a variety of locations to permanently place the house,

City Council approved the public parking lot at the northwest corner of

Norman Place & 2nd Street as its new home.

Following a competitive bid process, City Council awarded lease of the Shotgun House to the Santa Monica Conservancy for use as a Preservation Resource Center.
