Urban Forest & Community Open Space Section
Management of Santa Monica's
Urban Forest involves tree planting, inspection,
trimming, removal and community education to
encourage public stewardship of our trees. The urban
forest provides numerous benefits to our community,
like shade, sanctuary for urban wildlife, improved
air and water quality, and increased property
values.
With the help of
our Urban Forest Task Force, development of a new
Urban Forest Master Plan is underway. Visit
