BALLOT MEASURES

  • PROPOSITION I - Shall Article XXI be added to the City Charter authorizing the City to annually develop, construct, or acquire housing units affordable to low income persons, including but not limited to senior citizens, that do not exceed in number one-half of one percent (x of 1%) of the total number of housing units that existed in the City the immediately preceding year, with any unused authorization to be carried over for a period not to exceed three (3) years?

  • PROPOSITION J - Shall Section 602 of the Santa Monica City Charter be amended to provide for Council member's compensation in the amount of $750 each month, for Mayor's compensation of $900 each month, to provide for yearly cost of living increases equal to the increase in the Consumer Price Index, and to provide for medical and other benefits that the City customarily provides to City employees?

  • PROPOSITION L - To construct, improve and remodel the Main and branch libraries and related facilities, shall the City of Santa Monica incur general obligation bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of not to exceed $25 Million?

  • PROPOSITION X - For the purpose of acquiring and constructing facilities to accommodate smaller class size, science and computer labs and other programs; and for continued earthquake safety improvements, removing asbestos, repairing schools, making school grounds and restroom improvements, providing disabled access to existing facilities, and bringing high school facilities up to standard, shall the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District incur a bonded indebtedness in the maximum amount of $42,000,000, with an interest rate not to exceed the statutory maximum?
