 5-A:  Appeal of Planning Commission denial of Development Review
       Permit 407  for  conversion  of  eight  residential  units
       located  at  1826  14th  Street  into  commercial offices,
       continued from May 17, 1988.                              

 6-A:  Approval of City Council minutes of May 3, May 10, and May
       17, 1988.                                                 

 6-B:  Ordinance  for  adoption  and  second  reading  to   amend
       development agreement with  National  Medical  Enterprises
       for project  located at  2600 Colorado  Avenue, introduced
       May 10, 1988.                                             

 6-C:  Ordinance for adoption  and second reading  adding Section
       3611C to  the Municipal Code to  allow open-air vending on
       Third Street Promenade, introduced May 10, 1988.          

 6-D:  Resolution setting a public hearing for June 28, 1988,  on
       the assessment  of  costs  to  repair  damaged  sidewalks,
       driveways, and curbs on various streets (SR-88-113).      

 6-E:  Resolution  approving  Tract   Map  19288  for   a  4-unit
       condominium at 817 17th Street.                           

 6-F:  Resolution approving  Final Map  45028 for  12-unit tenant
       participating conversion project at 927-933 20th Street.  

 6-G:  Resolution  approving  Final  Map  45399 for 6-unit tenant
       participating conversion  project  at  1234-1236  Franklin
       Avenue.                                                   

 6-H:  Resolution   establishing   physically   handicapped  zone
       adjacent to 2225 26th Street.                             

 6-I:  Resolution  authorizing  application  for  Land  and Water
       Conservation funds  for the  Stewart Street  Park restroom
       project.                                                  

 6-J:  Resolution setting  public hearing  for June  28, 1988, on
       confirmation of assessments  for  installation  of  street
       lights on various City streets.                           

 6-K:  Recommendation  to  award  contract  to  Pacific   General
       Contractors  in the amount of $37,959.23 to construct high
       pressure  sodium  tennis  court  lighting system at Marine
       Park.                                                     

 6-L:  Recommendation to authorize City Manager to negotiate  and
       execute a  contract with  Cotton/Beland Associates  in the
       amount  of  $93,410  to  conduct  a comprehensive land use
       survey of the City of Santa Monica.                       

 6-M:  Recommendation to award contract to California  Electrical
       Services  in  the  amount   of   $120,985   for   lighting
       improvements to the Transportation Department  Maintenance
       Facility.                                                 

 6-N:  Recommendation to authorize City Manager to negotiate  and
       execute   contract  with  McClelland  Engineers,  Inc.  to
       perform geotechnical investigation for the  reconstruction
       of the extension of the Pier.                             

 7-A:  Public   hearing   and   resolution   approving  Community
       Development   Projects   for   1988-89   and   authorizing
       submission  of   Statement  of   Objectives  for   1988-89
       Community Development Block Grant Program.                

 7-B:  Public hearing  on tree  assessment district  for Wilshire
       Boulevard between 21st Street and Centinela Avenue.       

 7-C:  Public hearing  on assessment  of costs  to repair damaged
       sidewalks,  driveways,  and  curbs  at  various  locations
       (SR-88-111).                                              

 8-A:  Ordinance  for  introduction  and  first  reading   adding
       Municipal Code Section  3238L  to  establish  Preferential
       Parking  Zone  L  adjacent  to  Santa  Monica College, and
       resolution   certifying  the  Final  Environmental  Impact
       Report on  the proposed  Sunset Park  Preferential Parking
       Zone Project.                                             

 8-B:  Ordinance  for  introduction  and  first  reading   adding
       Municipal  Code  Section  7810  prohibiting  placement  of
       commercial materials on unattended motor vehicles.        

 8-C:  Ordinance  for  introduction  and  first  reading adopting
       current  Uniform  Technical   Codes   and   Santa   Monica
       amendments to 1985 Uniform Technical Codes.               

10-A:  Request of Library Board to place a bond issue on November
       1988  ballot to purchase land adjacent to Main Library for
       future expansion.                                         

11-A:  Recommendation to hold a public hearing, select  Community
       Corporation as developer of  affordable  housing  at  1747
       15th Street, adopt resolution authorizing sale of property
       to Community  Corporation, and  authorize City  Manager to
       execute documents required for sale of property.          

11-B:  Recommendation  regarding  adoption  of  Emergency   Water
       Conservation Plan.                                        

11-C:  Recommendation to authorize City Manager to negotiate  and
       execute   contract  with  Executive   Parking,  Inc.,  for
       operation of the City's beach parking lots.               

11-D:  Request for Closed Session for the purpose of  considering
       personnel   matters  and  threatened  litigation,  pending
       litigation, and  litigation to  be commenced  by the City.
       (A  list of pending  litigation cases to  be considered in
       Closed Session is posted on the Council Chambers door  and
       is on file with the City Clerk.)                          

14-A:  Request  of  Councilmember  Reed  to  discuss  support  of
       Statewide water metering as a means of reducing water use.

14-B:  Request of Mayor Conn to discuss inclusion of Santa Monica
       Bay in Natural Estuary Program.
