 9-A:  Recommendation to  approve Ocean  Avenue and  Third Street
       Promenade Outdoor Dining Guidelines and authorize the City
       Manager to  negotiate and  execute outdoor  dining license
       agreements with  restaurant operators and  direct staff to
       prepare Citywide Outdoor  Dining Guidelines, continued  to
       August 6, 1991, continued from July 23, 1991.             

 9-B:  Request for Closed Session for the purpose of  considering
       personnel   matters  and  threatened  litigation,  pending
       litigation and litigation to be commenced by the City.  (A
       list of pending  litigation  cases  to  be  considered  in
       Closed Session is posted on the Council Chambers door  and
       is on file with the City Clerk.)                          

13-A:  Request  of  Louise   Gabriel,  President,  Santa   Monica
       Historical   Society,   to   address   Council   regarding
       reconsideration of the placement  of the Gandhi Statue  in
       Palisades Park, continued from July 23, 1991.             

14-A:  Request of Mayor Pro Tempore Genser to discuss and adopt a
       policy  to   prohibit  the  inclusion   of  references  to
       organizations which regularly take positions on  electoral
       matters in City mass mailings.                            

14-B:  Appointment of member to the Housing Commission.          

14-C:  Request  of  Councilmember  Zane  to  discuss the need for
       guidelines for street performers on the Promenade.        

14-D:  Request  of  Councilmember  Zane  to  discuss  the need to
       create a transit planning process.
