                              JUNE 5, 1995

An adjourned meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was
called to order by Mayor Rosenstein at 6:05 p.m. on Monday,
June 5, 1995 in the Council Chambers.

Roll Call:  Present:     Mayor Paul Rosenstein
               Mayor Pro Tempore Asha Greenberg
               Councilmember Judy Abdo 
               Councilmember Ruth Ebner
               Councilmember Ken Genser
               Councilmember Robert T. Holbrook
               Councilmember Pam O Connor

    Also Present:   City Manager John Jalili
               City Attorney Marsha Jones Moutrie
               City Clerk Clarice E. Dykhouse

Councilmember Holbrook led the assemblage in the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.  

1995-96 CITY BUDGET STUDY SESSION:  Presented were 1995-96
budget proposals by the following departments:  City Council,
City Manager, Finance Department, Personnel Department and
Planning & Community Development Department.

15:  PUBLIC INPUT:  Member of the public John Jurenka expressed
his concerns.

ADJOURNMENT:  At 10:17 p.m., the meeting was adjourned to
Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at 6:00 p.m.
