2.     RESOLUTIONS: 

2-A:   Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa
       Monica adopting the Los Angeles County Registrar
       Recorder's Official Canvass and Official Statement of
       Votes Cast for the Consolidated Municipal Election held
       on November 5, 1996, and declaring the results thereof.

       ACTION: Adopted Resolution Number 9107 (CCS).

2-B:   ADJOURNMENT OF COUNCIL, AS PRESENTLY CONSTITUTED. 
       MEETING TURNED OVER TO CITY CLERK.

3.     INSTALLATION OF IN NEW OFFICERS:

3-A:   Clerk administers oath of office to new members of the
       Santa Monica College Board of Trustees:  Annette Shamey,
       Pat Nichelson, Ilona Jo Katz

       ACTION: Administered oath to Pat Nichelson and
       Ilona Jo Katz.





3-B:   Clerk administers the oath of office to new Santa
       Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education
       Members: Margaret Franco, Dorothy Chapman, Todd Hess

       ACTION: Administered oath to Margaret Franco,
       Dorothy Chapman, and Todd Hess.

3-C:   Clerk administers the oath of office to new Santa Monica
       Rent Control Board Members:  Lacy Goode, M. Douglas
       Willis

       ACTION: Administered oath to Lacy Goode and M.
       Douglas Willis.

3-D:   Clerk administers the oath of office to new Santa Monica
       City Council Members:       Asha Greenberg, Michael
       Feinstein, Ken Genser, Paul Rosenstein

       ACTION: Administered oath to Asha Greenberg,
       Michael Feinstein, Ken Genser and Paul Rosenstein.

4.     CONVENING OF NEW CITY COUNCIL:

4-A:   Roll Call
       ACTION: Roll Call

4-B:   Election of Mayor for the ensuing two years.

       ACTION: Approved split term; elected Pam O'Connor
       as Mayor for first year and Robert Holbrook as Mayor for
       second year.

4-C:   Election of Mayor Pro Tem for the ensuing two years.

       ACTION: Approved split term; elected Robert
       Holbrook as Mayor Pro Tem for first year and Pam
       O'Connor as Mayor Pro Tem for second year.

5.     PUBLIC INPUT:  (Public discussion permitted only on
       items not on the agenda that are within the subject
       matter jurisdiction of the City.)
