MAY 29, 2002

A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Feinstein at 6:15 p.m., on Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at City Council Chambers, 1685 Main Street.

CONVENE/PLEDGE

On order of the Mayor, the City Council convened at 6:15 p.m., with all members present. Councilmember Katz led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance.

STUDY SESSION:

2002 - 2003 Budget Study

Session Presentations:

Member of the public Rob Rader addressed various budget proposals.

The City Manager and staff presented a fiscal review of the following:

Library

Community and Cultural Services

Big Blue Bus

Environmental and Public Works Management

Resource Management

Planning and Community Development

Fire Department

Summary of budget discussions that may include a discussion

of use of one-time funds.

On order of the Mayor, the information was received and filed.

PUBLIC INPUT:

Member of the public Art Casillas discussed various Santa Monica Police Department issues.

ADJOURNMENT:

On order of the Mayor, the City Council meeting was adjourned at 10:35 p.m.
