A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Feinstein at 8:14 p.m., on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at City Council Chambers, 1685 Main Street.

On order of the Mayor, the City Council convened at 8:14 p.m., with all members present. Councilmember Holbrook led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance.



On order of the Mayor the City Council recessed at 8:15 p.m., to the following closed sessions and reconvened at 11:05 p.m., to report the following:



2-A: Public Employee Evaluation.

This matter was heard. There was no reportable action taken.



2-B: Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation: Hill et al., v. City of Santa Monica, Case No. SC 064 466.



This matter was heard. There was no reportable action taken.



2-C: Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation: John Biel v. City of Santa Monica, Case No. SC 064 724.



This matter was heard. There was no reportable action taken.





2-D: Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation.

Number of cases: Three.



Three cases were heard. There was no reportable action taken.



2-E: Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation: City of Santa Monica v. Shell Oil Company, Case No. 01CC04331.



This matter was not heard.



Member of the public Joey Fuller expressed concerns regarding closed sessions.



On order of the Mayor, the special City Council meeting was adjourned at 11:05 p.m.
