SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Chapter 4.36 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code to Extend Relocation Benefits To All Residents Displaced by Ellis Act Evictions

INTRODUCTION

At its meeting on June 22, 2004, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance amending Chapter 4.36 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code to extend relocation benefits to all residents displaced by Ellis Act evictions. The Ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
