Subject:          Construction Contract for the East Colorado Avenue Improvement Project - Approved Conceptual Drawings

 

Executive Summary

The East Colorado Avenue Improvement Project consists of pedestrian and neighborhood traffic improvements on Colorado Avenue between 20th Street and Centinela Avenue.  The previously approved conceptual drawings of the proposed pedestrian and traffic improvements are attached to this supplemental report for informational purposes. 

 

Discussion

On June 28, 2005, City Council unanimously approved the crosswalk enhancements and neighborhood traffic improvements for Colorado Avenue between 20th Street and Centinela Avenue and authorized staff to prepared construction drawings and specifications.  The City Council is considering awarding a construction contract to construct the proposed improvements that were developed from the conceptual drawings.  The previously approved conceptual drawings are attached to this supplemental staff report to provide additional information on the project that is being considered in Item 1-F.
