Subject: Ordinance Amending Section 2.24.073 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code As It Applies to Professional Contracts for Legal Services

Recommended Action

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.

Executive Summary

At its meeting on February 10, 2009, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance amending the Municipal Code provision on purchasing professional services to create a special provision for purchasing legal services necessary for litigation. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
