CityTV is airing new distance learning programs from DHTV, the
television programming services from California State University,
Dominguez Hills. All of the programming airs on cable channel 99 on
CityTV’s channel dedicated to lifelong learning called Forté. Each
course runs for 13 weeks and college credits can be earned by viewers
wishing to enroll in the class.
Courses to be aired are:
Gardens of California, Sundays, 2:00pm – 3:30pm, starting August 29th,
taught by Jerrold Turney
Jazz in the Modern Era, Tuesdays, 9:00pm – 10:30pm, starting September
7th, taught by Chet Hanley
Introduction to Public Relations, 7:00pm-9:00pm, starting September 7th,
taught by Suzanne Scholz
Introduction to Marine Life, Thursdays, 3:00pm – 4:30pm, starting
September 9th, taught by Doug Borcoman
Critical Reasoning Mondays, 3:00pm – 4:30pm, starting September 13th,
taught by Doug Borcoman
Looking at Art, Tuesdays, 3:00pm – 4:30pm, starting September 14th,
taught by Bernard Bake
Dimensions of Leisure, Wednesdays, 3:00pm – 4:30pm, starting September
15th, taught by Mary Lou Cappel
