City Council meetings begin at 5:45pm on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month.

CityTV airs videotaped coverage of most meetings of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board.  Meetings held in the Santa Monica City Council Board Room are aired live on CityTV channel 16 and replayed on CityTV2 channel 20.  Meetings held in the School District Board Room are aired on a delayed basis on CityTV2 channel 20.  Meetings held in Malibu are aired on a delayed basis if a DVD of the meeting is supplied to CityTV. Meetings are regularly scheduled for the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month beginning at 7:00pm. School Board meetings are also video archived on the City of Santa Monica's web site.

Planning Commission meetings air live on CityTV cable channel 16.  Regularly scheduled meeting times are the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month beginning at 6:30pm. Planning Commission meetings also replay on CityTV2.

If you missed the meeting you want to watch, you have several options.

1. Watch it on-line. If you want a City Council or Planning Commission meeting, consider watching it on-line. You can go directly to the agenda item that you want.
2. Go to the Main Library.  Council Meeting DVDs are available for check-out.
3. Buy a copy.  Meeting DVDs are available for purchase at $20 each.                       
   Call (310) 458-8590 and place your order.  If we have copies on hand, you may come by our office and pick it up the same day.  If we need to make a copy of a meeting, it may take 2-3 days and we will call you when your copy is ready. Our offices are located at 1717 4th Street, Ste. 100 (We are next to the Doubletree Hotel)
4. Borrow a copy.  If we have copies onhand, you can leave a $20 cash deposit and borrow the tape.  We will return your deposit when you return the tape.  This option is only available is we have a copy on hand, not if we have to make a copy for you
