GENERATION OF GARDENERS VISITS MAIN ST.
The Main St. Gardens hosted a group of 3-6 year olds and
parents from Global
Montessori School on Friday, July 23rd, 2010.
Community gardeners Francine
Medeiros and Glenn Furuya welcomed the young gardeners
and taught them
about lettuce seedlings, how to plant succulents
and various seeds in
garden beds.
The students also got a tour of all of the gardens and
even a little
lesson on composting. A big thank you goes out to
Francine and Glenn for
making the day special for those budding gardeners!
Check out some photos of
the event!
