CONSTRUCTION PERMITS
A set of plans will have to be submitted to Building & Safety for plan check.  In addition, the City will inspect the condition of the street, curb, gutter and alley around the site for any possible repairs required.  Any use of the public right of way (dumpsters, material storage, etc.) requires the issuance of a Use of Public Property Permit.

CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION WASTE MANAGEMENT FEE
Any project with a valuation of $50,000 or more, or
1000 sq/ft of work or more, requires a refundable deposit of 3% of the project valuation.  More Construction & Demolition information

WATER METER
A new or enlarged water meter may be required if the project increases the number of plumbing fixtures and sprinkler heads or if the existing meter is undersized.  Meter size is based on the Uniform Plumbing Code.  Separate fire lines may also be required.  In addition to the cost of installing a new or enlarged water meter, an appropriate Water Capital Facility Fee will be charged.

WASTEWATER CAPITAL FACILITY FEE
For new construction, change of use or increase of square footage, a Wastewater Capital Facility Fee may be charged.
