Urban Runoff Water Quality Monitoring

SMURRF: Santa Monica's Urban Runoff Recycling Facility

SMURRF Monitoring Results
To ensure SMURRF is functioning optimally, the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board requires sampling of certain constituents such as Coliform bacteria, oil and grease, and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) on a regular basis. This also allows us to identify which pollutants are present in the urban runoff.
