About the
Human Services
Grants Program
The City of Santa Monica
collaborates with public and private organizations to provide a
comprehensive grants program to local social service agencies that
improve the quality of life for Santa Monica residents including
infants, children, teens, families, persons with disabilities, seniors,
and persons who are low-income or homeless.
The
FY 2011-15 Human Services Grants
Program (HSGP), formerly the Community Development Program, is now
available. The HSGP funds local human service programs and agencies in
order to cultivate an effective safety net or system of services that builds
upon the unique assets and strengths of neighborhoods, community organizations
and public institutions.

Based on the findings of a
needs assessment, Community Voices, a three-year Community
Development Program funding plan is developed through a competitive
grants process. By providing predictable funding over a multi-year
period, the City helps organizations offer uninterrupted, continuous
services and focus on program planning, development and implementation.
