Senior Nutrition Program

The WISE & Healthy Aging Senior Nutrition Program, offers nutritious hot lunches for those who are 60 or over.

Reservations must be made one day in advance before 11:45 a.m. at one of the dining centers listed below. A Suggested donation of $2.50 for each meal is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Saturday Sack Lunches 

A hearty box lunch is also available at the Senior Center on Saturday afternoons. The Senior Recreation Center is located at 1450 Ocean Ave. The suggested donation for each meal is $2.50. Please make reservations by call (310) 458-2219 or stop by in person before 11:45 a.m. one weekday in advance. Minimum age for this program is 60..

Reservations Are Necessary

The Senior Nutrition Program is happy to serve lunch to those 60 and over; however participants must reserve their meal one day in advance or take a chance at being turned away. In order to keep your reservation, you must arrive at the meal site by 11:45 a.m.. We ask that you cancel your meal reservation if you are not able to make it, as the program incurs the cost for all meals ordered.

Lunchtime Enrichment Workshops

In addition, educational seminars and enrichment activities are presented at each of the dining centers on a weekly basis by the City of Santa Monica Fire Department, Police Department, Public Library, Life Long Learning Older Adult Task Force, Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Jewish Family Services, LA County Neighborhood Legal Services Health Consumer Center, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Westside Center for Independent Living, WISE & Healthy Aging, and the YMCA.

Home Delivered Meals

The Home Delivered Meals program is administered by Meals on Wheels West and provides healthy meals 7 days a week for those who are homebound - unable to shop or cook for themselves. Breakfast and liquid nutrition are also available. Please call (310) 394-5133 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to make arrangements or visit their website at: http://www.mealsonwheelswest.org/
