Senior Recreation Center

 MOVIES & DANCES


A full array of stimulating activities and events are offered. Dances, trips, sing-a-longs, exercise and instructional programs and weekday lunches are provided in warm, friendly atmosphere. To become an activity card holder and receive your newsletter by mail call (310) 458-8644.

MOVIES

FEE: Free with Activity Card  & $0.50 without card

Movies are shown at the Senior Recreation Center on our big screen TV every Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

If you require closed captioning please alert the staff at the Senior Recreation Center at least one week in advance.

Movies are shown as listed subject to availability.

NOVEMBER

1 Shine a Light (2008) Acclaimed director Martin Scorsese turns his lens on rock & roll legends the Rolling Stones for this feature focusing on two concerts from the band's 2006 A Bigger Bang tour.
8 The Family Man (2000) In this whimsical romantic comedy, Nicolas Cage plays Jack Campbell, a workaholic bachelor who gets to see what his life might have been like had he stayed with his old sweetheart, Kate.
15 10,000 B.C. (2008) A young outcast from a primitive tribe is forced to defend his people from a brutal onslaught in Independence Day director Roland Emmerich's fast-paced period adventure.
22 Pride (2007) A college-educated African American schoolteacher frustrated by his inability to find a job repairs an abandoned recreational pool hall in hopes of starting Philadelphia's first African American swim team.
