Interactive Maps

The GIS team has developed interactive map applications for your use on our internet site. This means that you can simply work with GIS map data using your web browser instead of using GIS software that has to be installed on your computer. The goal of serving maps over our internet is to provide you with easier access to city-wide data. Our interactive map applications run best in Firefox 3.x, Internet Explorer 8.x, Safari 3.x, and Netscape 9.x browsers. Make sure to turn off your popup blocker when using our interactive map applications.

CrimeView Community *NEW*
CrimeView Community is a crime mapping system which provides public access to crime data in the City of Santa Monica. The data is available for crimes that have been reported within the last 90 days and is updated daily by the Santa Monica Police Department. Crime data may be searched by crime type within the proximity to an address, intersection, or landmark, as well as for a zip code, a Police Department beat, or for the entire City.  Summary reports of the data and maps may be printed.

EXPLORE Santa Monica
EXPLORE Santa Monica caters to Santa Monica residents and tourists alike. Looking for something the see or do in Santa Monica? Well, this application was made for you! The EXPLORE Santa Monica application displays tourism information, such as shopping areas, restaurants, coffee/tea houses, and accommodations. You can also find the locations of art galleries, historical landmarks, public art, theaters, museums, visitor centers, bus routes, and much more.

OPIS - Online Property Information System
OPIS is an Online Property Information System for the City of Santa Monica. This application displays property information that is collected from the Los Angeles County Assessor. Property information is updated quarterly (March, June, September, and December). Public lands, buildings, zoning, zip codes, and 2000 Census information are some of the datasets that can be drawn over the base parcel map. Zoning information corresponds to the City's Municipal Code section. See Zoning Districts and Uses for more information on zoning codes. Summary Census information is from the US Census Bureau.
