RENT CONTROL SEMINAR FOR SANTA MONICA TENANTS
 

Rent Control staff are presenting free quarterly seminars for tenants of residential rental property in Santa Monica.  All interested tenants are welcome.

These presentations will cover the basics of the Santa Monica Rent Control law.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions.  The following topics will be discussed:

• What is rent control?

• What rent must be paid?

• What amenities are included in the rent?

• What maintenance must the owner do?

• What remedies are available for rent, amenity and maintenance issues?

• What eviction protections does rent control provide?

• What services are available through the Rent Control Office?
