Sid Fleischman’s By the Great Horn Spoon at the Santa Monica Public Library

Children ages 5 and up and their families are invited to a performance of scenes from the popular children’s book, By the Great Horn Spoon, at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, on Sunday, March 19, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. The book has been adapted for the stage by its author, Santa Monica resident and Newbery Medalist Sid Fleischman, who will be present for a Q & A session following the performance.

Actors from the Morgan-Wixson Theater in Santa Monica will perform scenes from this classic tale of adventure during the California Gold Rush in the library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium. The performance will be followed by a question and answer session with the author.
