TEEN POETRY CAFÉ AT THE SANTA MONICA PUBLIC LIBRARY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Santa Monica Public Library invites teens in grades 6 through 12 to a Teen Poetry Café at the Main Library Courtyard, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, on Monday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. April is National Poetry Month—a time to celebrate poetry as a form of self-expression and art. Teens are encouraged to share original poetry or favorite published poems with their peers in an open, comfortable environment. Sign-ups begin at 5:00 p.m., for those who wish to recite poetry. Teens will also have the opportunity to win small prizes in a raffle prize drawing at the end of the program.
