JuWon Choi will present “Grant-Seeking Basics for Nonprofit Organizations and an Introduction to Using the FC Search Database” on Tuesday, August 1 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Santa Monica Public Library’s multipurpose meeting room, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

This presentation is designed for anyone in the nonprofit sector who wants to learn more about identifying and researching foundations as potential sources of funding. It will help attendees understand the grant seeking process, and how to use Foundation Center resources.  JuWon Choi is Vice President for Educational Services at the Foundation Center, a national organization that seeks to strengthen the nonprofit sector by providing information about foundation and corporate giving.

As an affiliate of the Foundation Center, the Santa Monica Public Library maintains a core collection of directories of grants and foundations and provides access to FCSearch, the Foundation Center electronic grant seekers' database.  FCSearch is available only in the Main Library and librarians are happy to assist clients with its use.
