Santa Monica, California — Santa Monica Public Library presents the Green Living Workshop, starting Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

A six-week series, the Green Living Workshop is offered by Sustainable Works.  The series provides the latest ‘eco-info,’ and offers advice on saving up to $200 a year on utility costs and cutting your landfill waste by up to 50%.  The Workshop meets each Wednesday through February 20, and each session focuses on a different topic: water, energy, waste, chemicals, transportation and travel, and shopping and food.  Participants receive free resource saving tools such as water saving shower heads, energy saving light bulbs, and reusable shopping bags.  Additional workshops will follow in the spring and summer; start dates will be March 5, April 23, and June 11.
