Leslie Jordan: My Trip Down the Pink Carpet
at the Santa Monica Public Library

Santa Monica, California – Get ready to laugh yourself silly as comedic actor Leslie Jordan visits the Santa Monica Public Library on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., to celebrate the release of his hilarious new autobiography, My Trip Down the Pink Carpet.  The fun will take place in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

Best known for his Emmy-winning role as Megan Mullally’s comic foil, Beverley Leslie, on the sitcom Will & Grace, Leslie Jordan is also well-loved for his performances in several of Del Shores’ cult classic stage and screen productions such as Sordid Lives and Southern Baptist Sissies, as well as countless television guest appearances.

Leslie will join entertainment journalist Jim Colucci (Will & Grace: Fabulously Uncensored and The Q Guide to the Golden Girls) for a fun, free-wheeling, and sometimes bawdy, conversation about the sassy Southerner’s colorful career in Hollywood, followed by an audience Q&A.  A book sale and signing will follow.

Admission is free.  Tickets will be available one hour prior to event.  No reserved seating, and guests must be on hand to receive an Auditorium ticket.  Seating is first come, first served.  The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration (310) 458-8606.
