 The Bergamot Area Plan

THE BERGAMOT AREA PLAN
an implementation of the Land Use and Circulation Element

Draft Document published February 8, 2013 (LINK)

The Draft Bergamot Area Plan

*********************************************************************

The Bergamot Area Plan is a focused planning effort intended to give voice to community preferences for land uses, circulation networks, infrastructure, parking strategies, and design of buildings in the mixed-use, transit-oriented Bergamot area. The Plan is partially funded by a HUD Community Challenges grant encouraging compact, mixed-use development linked to transit.

The below map depicts the project area, which includes 140 acres of land in four proposed land use districts: The Bergamot Transit Village, the Mixed-Use Creative District, the Conservation - Creative Sector District, and the Conservation - Art Center District.

The Bergamot Area Plan is partially funded by a federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) planning grant.  This grant is intended to fund planning efforts that encourage compact, mixed-use and transit-oriented development that includes affordable housing, jobs and community services in ways that reduce vehicle dependence and greenhouse gas emissions.
