system is a secure, web-based
application that allows
contractors and home owners to
do the following:

Valuations over $10,000 are required to add a Earthquake Gas
Shutoff valve.
Irrigation Sprinkler System, will need
to check with Environmental for current Green Building
requirements. Please
go to
www.smgreen.org to find out more information about
the Landscape and Irrigation requirements of the Green
Building Ordinance or contact the Office of Sustainability
and the Environment at 310 458-8972.

register. If you are
already registered, you may

STEP 2:
Login to Start Applying for
a Building Permit
You need to
login to the system and
follow the instructions to
complete the process.
Please provide your
license
number if you are
contractor (please do not
enter the license type).
** If you are
home
owner, real estate broker /
agent, please type the word
"OWNER" when the
system asks for
your
Contractor License
number.

Submit Your Permit
Declaration On-line
(Contractors only)
You must submit your Permit
Declarations after the
completion of your e-permit
application in order to make
your permit valid.

PROPERTY
OWNERS: We will mail your
Permit Declaration to
your address on file.
You must return it by
Mail or in person within
10 calendar days.
If it is not received
within the 10 days, the
Building permit will be
Suspended.
