Legal Declaration and click “Agree”

5. CONTRACTORS
- Enter your California State
Contractor License Number and click “Add”. |

the License to be use for the permit
application and click “Continue”. |

8. Enter the
“Description of work” and select “type of
Permits” you are submitting. When you are
finished, click “Next” to continue. |

“Conditions” and click “Agree” when you are
finished. |

10. Enter
your job information and click “Next” to
continue.
Important –
A. Your permit fees
are NOT based on the cost of work.
B. If you are a
Contractor and you have just applied for a City of
Santa Monica Business License, please allow 24 hours
for this website to update your information prior to
applying for a building permit. |

Review
the application and click “Process Permit”
when you are finished. |

12. Enter
your credit card information and click “Submit”
to continue. (A prompt message will appear to
confirm the amount). Click “OK” to proceed. |

13. After your
payment has been processed, you will need to print
out a copy of your permit, receipt, inspection list
and your permit application successfully.
You MUST submit your
Permit Declarations to complete your e-permit
application in order to make your permit valid.
If the permit is an Owner/Builder permit, the
homeowner will be mailed a Permit Declaration to the
address that we have on file and it must be returned
to us within 10 days. |
