Inspectors Office Hours:
7:30 to 8:00 (Walk-in Only) Monday through Friday
There are no afternoon phone or office hours for inspectors
Inspectors Phone Hours:
6:30 AM to 7:30 Monday through Friday

Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

This system is on a first come, first serve basis and allow
inspections to be scheduled for a two week period.
Jobsites MUST be available for Inspection Services from 8:00am to 5pm
(M-F)

How to Request an Inspection by Phone
All permitted projects require an inspection by a Building and Safety
Division Inspector. An inspection ensures that the project is
constructed according to approved plans. To request an inspection have
your permit number ready and phone: (310) 458-2202.
Inspections can be scheduled through the IVR system only. The phone
number is
(310) 458-2202. This system is on a first come, first serve basis and
allow inspections to be scheduled for a two week period. Inspection
cancellations must be completed through the IVR system by 3:00 pm the day prior to the scheduled inspection; otherwise a
re-inspection fee will be charged to the permit. At that point, you may
