SUBJECT: Resolution of Intention to Amend the Official Districting
Map to Establish the Bayside Commercial Zoning District in Portions
of the Existing C3 and C3C Districts.
INTRODUCTION
The attached Resolution of Intention would amend the Official
Districting Map to establish the Bayside Commercial District
(BSC). Existing portions of the C3C and C3 Districts would be
rezoned to BSC. As proposed, the boundaries of the new district
would be Wilshire Boulevard on the north, Broadway on the south,
Fourth Court Alley on the east, and First Court Alley on the
west.
The amendment to the Official Districting Map is necessary to
implement the proposed development standards and permitted uses
contained in the BSC District, which have been analyzed in the
Final Bayside District Specific Plan Environmental Impact Report,
Volumes I and II.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve the
attached Resolution of Intention.

OF THE C ITY OF SANTA MONICA
DECLARIN G ITS INTENTION TO RECOMMEND AMENDMENT
OF THE OFFICIAL DISTRICTING MAP
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to the Santa Monica Municipal Code
Section 9.04.20.16.020, the Planning Commission does hereby
announce its intention to recommend that the City Council amend the
City of Santa Monica Official Districting Map, as set forth in
Exhibit A, attached to this Resolution.
Section 2. The Planning Director shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
