NOTICE INVITING BIDS

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Santa Monica invites sealed bids for the:

 

Ocean Park Blvd/23rd Street and Ocean Park Blvd/Cloverfield Blvd Traffic Signal Modification Project, SP-TS04-01

 

Bids shall be delivered to the City of Santa Monica, Office of the City Clerk, Room 102, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California, not later than 2:30 p.m. on April 28, 2005, to be publicly opened and read aloud after 3:00 p.m. on said date in City Hall Council Chambers.  Each Bid shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE:  $300,000 TO $350,000

CONTRACT CALENDAR DAYS:  90

LIQUIDATED DAMAGES:  $1,600.00 PER DAY

COMPENSABLE DELAY:  $500.00 PER DAY

 

Contract Documents may be obtained at the Transportation Management Division or by mail for an additional mailing charge (check or money order payable to the City of Santa Monica).  Cost of the documents shall be $40.00.  Additional mailing charge shall be $10.00.  Con­tract Docu­ments may also be examined in City Hall, at the Transportation Management counter, phone number (310) 458-8291.  Additional information may be obtained on the City's website at www.santa-monica.org/engineering. The Contractor is required to have a Class C-10 license at the time the Construction Contract is awarded.

 

Pursuant to Public Contracts Code Section 22300, the Contractor shall be permitted to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City to ensure performance under this Contract.
