Transportation Management Division

The Transportation Management Division studies parking and traffic conditions throughout the city and develops plans and recommendations to improve the movement and safety of pedestrians, bicycles, buses, trucks and cars. The Division also issues residential preferential parking permits and administers the City’s Transportation Management (vehicle trip reduction) Plan.

Advanced Traffic Management System, Phases 4a & 4b
The City of Santa Monica is requesting proposals from qualified design firms to prepare bidding documents, construction drawings, and cost estimates to implement Phases 4a & 4b of the City of Santa Monica’s Advanced Traffic Management System. Proposals MUST be received by: Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 5:00pm.

TAXICAB STUDY
An analysis of taxicab operations in the Santa Monica was conducted in 2008 to evaluate this component of the City’s transportation resources. City Council will review the study’s findings and provide direction to staff in early 2009.
