Community Input Meetings                  Updated: 5/1/2013

City Planning Staff frequently conducts Community Input Meetings for projects that require approval from the Planning Commission and City Council. Below you will find more information regarding upcoming meetings and opportunities to participate:

The City has scheduled a Public Scoping Meeting for the EIR to describe the proposed project, the environmental review process, and to receive your verbal input on the information that should be included in the EIR.  The Public Scoping Meeting is scheduled at the following time and location:

The Bergamot Area Plan - Draft Plan Available 2/2013
The Bergamot Area Plan is a focused planning effort intended to give voice to community preferences for land uses, circulation networks, infrastructure, parking strategies, and design of buildings in the mixed-use, transit-oriented Bergamot area. The Plan is partially funded by a HUD Community Challenges grant encouraging compact, mixed-use development linked to transit

Ocean Park Boulevard "Complete Green Street"

The Ocean Park Boulevard "Complete Green Street" project was initiated in March 2008 at the request of the Santa Monica community.  The project aims to examine the portion of Ocean Park Boulevard west of Lincoln Blvd. to Neilson way, and to develop solutions to issues based on scale, character, health and safety, and circulation.  Check out the project's webpages Here.


Santa Monica Bike Action Plan FINAL
The FINAL Santa Monica Bike Action Plan has been released. This comprehensive document provides both a 5-year implementation plan, as well as a 20 year vision for further integrating bicycles into the fabric of everyday life in Santa Monica.

The final document is available for download HERE (129 MB) or may be purchased at City Hall at the City Planning public counter (Room 115).

Civic Center Specific Plan   On June 28, 2005, the City Council adopted a comprehensive update to the Civic Center Specific Plan. 

Santa Monica Municipal Code  We are providing this printed publication to help our service users understand and follow the portions of the Santa Monica Municipal Code that regulate construction activity. This book contains all Article 8-Building Regulations and excerpts from other applicable portions of the municipal code.
